Easyjet fly daily from Stansted to Asturias. Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to Santander.

A new mortorway is almost complete along the north coast between Oviedo (Asturias) and Santander. A single track railway runs parallel. Travelers without a car can get off at Llanes and resume their journey by taxi (half an hour).

Car hire is available from either Santander or Asturias. You are advised to make your reservation via the airline website from UK.

By Road (About an hour and a half)

From Santander follow signs to Torrelavega & Oviedo.  At Unquera follow signs to the Picos de Europa.  Turn right at Panes over the bridge to follow the AS114. After 25 km, on a tricky bend beyond the village of Carreña you will see a sign to Berodia  Follow the windy mountain road to Upper Berodia (2½k). Take the first left in the village. Ask for "Cassa Oos-borr-nay",

From Asturias airport (Near Aviles and Oviedo) follow signs to Santander. After an hour, turn right to the market town of Posada. Follow the AS115 south, signed to Cangas de Onis. After 20 minutes this meets the AS114 at a big roundabout. Turn left through Canales where you will shortly see the panorama of the Cabrales Valley. Follow the As114 for 3 km. On an awkward bend watch for a road to the right signed Berodia. Follow the windy mountain road to Upper Berodia (2½k). Take the first left in the village. Ask for "Cassa Oos-borr-nay".
