This quaint cottage has been converted from a cotswold stone cattle shed and has a mellow pantile roof. It is set on its own 200 yards from the farmhouse on the farm drive.
Watch a buzzard circle lazily overhead, mobbed by crows.. or a family of partridges scatter as you drive down the lane. Foxglove, Mullein and wild Mallow grow just outside while the banks behind are a carpet of Cowslips in April.
The main living room has rugs on a flagstone floor with exposed beams in the ceiling. To the east is a sun-soaked breakfast patio with a gate straight onto the fields; to the south is a lawned garden with a prolific cherry tree. The garden is enclosed by a stone wall that separates it from the cutting garden where Heather grows flowers to supply our cottages, local businesses and families.
There are stunning views across the Golden Valley to the farms on the other side. France Lynch and Oakridge can be seen in the distance.
The Chalford donkeys, Teddy and Chester, are usually your neighbours.
Open all year. Weekly bookings only (Friday to Friday) in the summer. Short breaks and long lets in the winter
