Chalford Donkey Project

The Chalford Donkey Project brings a new transport concept to the village of Chalford which is creative, community based and sustainable. The age-old  art of using pack donkeys, which has been lost in this country for over half a century, is given new life and new meaning.

Teddy the Chalford delivery donkey lives at Westley Farm with his companion Chester. Every Saturday he is harnessed up with his panniers and taken to Chalford to do his delivery round of groceries. Many volunteers help with making the deliveries, fundraising, planning events and producing publicity.

During site 09 the donkeys will be leading family walks around Westley farm and giving rides.
