The Ground Beneath your Feet
Discovering our Local Geological Heritage

We live in the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but rarely think of the deep foundations that have shaped our landscape…It is the Jurassic limestone that gives the area its distinctive dry stone walls and stone cottages; its steep sided wooded valleys and spring line villages. It is the Fuller’s Earth that contributed to Stroud’s textile industries. With the kind support of the Gloucestershire Geology Trust, Hege creates an exhibition celebrating our local geology. Did you know Gloucestershire has it’s own unique dinosaur? Come and discover more of what lies beneath your feet.

Join in the fossil hunt, or just enjoy the marked geological tour of the farm.
