Hand-made gates with hand tools.

My working life is based around Chalford with my dry stone walling self-employed, and I own woodlands in the Bakers Mill valley.  These I manage using hand tools only in the woodland management techniques I use.  I am also a skilled hedgelayer, and create many outdoor landscapes using natural materials and the strength of my body.  I also, among other things, make handmade gates which are from coppice from my woods, also traditionally made and feature selected. 

My stall will be to make a gate, with demonstrations of the processes in the making and chance for people to perhaps try their hand.  I can accept commissions but my stall is demonstration based.

I will also have the opportunity to explain the workings of the hand tools with many varieties there on show (chisels, draw knives etc..)
